Treasures

Hi All,

I have collected a few treasures that I wanted to share. I have mentioned before that my parents are moving from the house that they have been in for 48 years. I have been over to help them clean stuff out and have managed to save a few treasures and give them a new home.

I brought home 3 of the old mason jars:

I love these and have a few others that my mom had given me a few years back. Hmm! What do I want to fill them with? What do you use your mason jars for?

I also brought home this small oil can:

It’s so cute and miniature. I knew I needed to bring it home. I fear it may have ended up in the garbage if I didn’t.

I’ve saved the best for last, Raggedy Ann:

001

I brought her everywhere when I was a little girl. That’s the reason for all the stains. I can’t tell you how many times she has been washed. She definitely lives up to her name, Raggedy Ann.

She now resides in my stitching chair. She keeps my chair warm for me when I am not stitching in it.

I am so glad we found her. I had been wondering for quite some time where she was.

Could be some more treasures before they move. Who knows?

Have a great week everyone!!

  1. Your Raggedy Ann looks well-loved. I am glad you were able to find her and bring her to your home. I like your Mason jars. Hmmm…buttons, trims, ORTs, floss. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

  2. I forgot to say that I spy a Longaberger basket in the background of the first picture. Were we separated at birth?
