I hope everyone is well! I have a very quick post today to show you my 3rd SAL finish.
It is Joy to the World by Little House Needleworks:
So far I have loved every one of the SAL designs I have stitched. I stitched this angel when my Dad had his heart surgeries. It is going to remind me of the obstacles he has overcome to get where he is now and I thank god everyday.
That’s all I have for today. I told you it was quick!
Have a great stitchy weekend all!
Hope everyone is well today!
I wanted to share my 2nd SAL finish today. It is Snowy Winter by Little House Needleworks:
I really love this one. I think it is because of the pine trees with the snow. I left off the border because I thought it would look better without it. It is going to be an ornament so that way it won’t be huge. I am excited to be adding 12 of these to my Christmas collection. I will be starting to finish them soon. I love every one of these designs and it is hard to choose which 12 to stitch now.
I also wanted to share my little snowman tag:
Cute right!!! I did change him up just a little bit. My friend, Donna, sent me the patterns and supplies to finish these. Thanks so much Donna! I can’t wait to stitch up the rest of them.
That’s it for today! I’ll be back soon to share the 3rd SAL.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!
Thank you all for the prayers for my Dad. 2 surgeries later, he is doing well and hopefully will be home soon.
So I decided that this year I was going to alternate each month with stitching some of my bigger projects in hopes of getting them done. For February I worked on Dwelling Place and although I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, here is my progress none the less:
I will start working on this come April and hopefully get a lot more done.
I also wanted to share my new obsession and that is thread spools. I have so many projects I want to do with them. So I wanted to share my first ones with you. I made wine corks and wine charms:
I have more projects in the works so I will share them here as I make them. I am so excited about making them that I wish I could make them all now but there are a lot and time is not on my side right now.
I do see a thread spool blog post in the near future.
Have a great weekend with lots of stitching!
Weird title I know! Let me explain-
I made these just to try something fun. I gave 2 of them to 2 very special friends for Valentine’s Day. I want to make more of these. You could use them to hold your fabric, keep your papers together, a bookmark or whatever you want and it looks pretty.
Pheasant Feathers- When I was younger my Dad hunted pheasants among other things but pheasants were one of those. Their feathers are really cool. When my parents were getting ready to move I found them and kept them.
This is what I did with them:
I put some in a clear ball ornament to hang on my Christmas tree. The others I put in these milk jugs I bought and they are displayed in my living room. They will probably be moved around a bit depending on what I want where. I am always moving things around or to different rooms. I am never satisfied. LOL!
That’s all I have for today but did want to ask for some prayers for my Dad’s speedy recovery. He had heart surgery yesterday and is doing really well so please pray that he stays on the right track and comes home soon.
Thanks so much and have a great stitchy week everyone!
So Robin and I are doing another SAL this year and we are stitching Little House Needleworks/ Country Cottage patterns. I am excited to share Peace on Earth by Little House Needleworks:
I have a thing for sheep lately. Isn’t he cute!
I am also excited to be stitching these with Robin because it will motivate me to stitch the bunch of Little House ornaments I have.
So I decided this year that I would randomly post my collections to share. So my first my first collection I am sharing is my thread keeps.
I thought I had more but I searched all over and this is all I could find. I will however be adding to this collection this year. Some have been gifts and some I have made. I love thread keeps and use them all the time. They are one of the accessories I can’t live without. How about you?
I will post another collection at a later date after I decide what that will be. I probably will post them when I don’t have a lot of stitching to share. LOL!
I would love to share your collections on my blog. You can send me a picture @email@example.com.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!! I hope you all have a lovely day!
I am sharing my Valentine stitching with you today. I thought it was a great day to do this since it is actually Valentine’s Day and also because I don’t have any finishes to share. LOL!
This is my tree decked out for Valentine’s Day:
Since I don’t have a lot of stitched Valentine ornaments yet I have filled in with other related Valentines. I also left a couple snowmen as you can see which will replace the Valentine ornaments after today. At least the snowman in the back has hearts on it. Does that count?
This display is next to my tree.
and this one is on a shelf.
This Valentine mobile was made by my grandmother’s hands. I saved it from my parent’s home when they were cleaning out. I just love it mostly because my grandmother made it. This is the 2nd Valentine’s Day it has been hanging in my kitchen. My grandmother is always with me.
I will be adding hands on Design’s new L-O-V-E freebie to my Valentine collection next year. It is a really cute pattern so be sure to get over to her website, handsondesign.biz to get yourself a copy.
Hope your day is filled with love!
A quick post today as I wanted to share Tender Heart by Shepherd’s Bush:
I just love the soft colors of this. It is an older design but it was a kit my mom had given to me when she cleaned out. I knew I needed to stitch it. It also came with the mat.
It just needs a frame now and I will probably hang it in my stitching room.
That’s all I have for today.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week.
